Bucket List - 2014 is Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Pseudo Bucket List:

1. I'm scheduled for two workshops at LDStorymakers this year that are unbelievable: Orson Scott Card and Brandon Sanderson.

2. I will be participating in the Stanley Hotel Writers Retreat (Stephen King, Shining, Room 217)

Merry Belated Christmas, Happy New Year!

LDStorymakers Day 2

Some excellent workshops, especially on taxes.  It was a good day, but the most important thing, my good friend, Nikki Trionfo won the Grand Prize for the First Chapter Contest... some pretty cool swag - Alphasmart NEO2 and “Get Out of The Slush Pile Free” Card for Deseret Book, Covenant, and Cedar Fort, Inc. - Nice job, Nikki, and well-deserved!

LDStorymakers

Made it back to Utah for LDStorymakers Conference 2013 - it was good see some old friends - Heather, Jeff, Julie, Jolyn, Nikki - and meet some new ones.  Mark and I drove down this morning.  the highlight was probably pitching my novel, Madison Blackwood, to a really nice agent - Michelle Witte - and looking forward to tomorrow's sessions and seeing more old friends and meeting several new ones!  Of note, Precision Editing will look at 10 pages of your manuscript and give you some honest feedback, which would help if you want to have them critique your entire manuscript...  Onward and upward:)

The eZine that Would Not Die

I think it's time to update Fear Knocks.  Look for a change in the coming days (and nights).

EAP in the House

I recently returned to the Baltimore area, and am looking forward to seeing one of my favorite writers again.  Okay, maybe "see" is not the correct term, perhaps feel.  I hope to also visit another friend, in Providence... it's just up the road.
